Reconnecting To The World In Real Time

It's been 5 days now that I have been living in a sans-social media world.

My sleep has actually been better. Mind you I do still read a very limited amount of news just to be aware of what's going on so I've not gone to full ostrich mode.

The peacefulness that I am finding is not something I will give up at the end of 30 days.

The hardest part has been that I have recognized the painful amount of dependence my business has on social media and this week I am rectifying that with an email marketing reboot and considerations of very small ad spend so that I can leverage social without having to be on it.

In church today we had a lesson about building longer tables and being present with one another in person or at the very least in real time.

With all that said, I'm very grateful and I understand more each day why I was given this very clear command from my guidance. I am glad I surrendered. And as I was reminded today - our surrender is how it's possible for God to begin to work through us. When we are trying to control the directions it becomes rather challenging to truly be the flow of the brush in the artist's hand or the script following that is written by divine grace.

So I'll leave you with this reflection - where are you exerting more energy than required and it's keeping you from being guided in the direction that is meant for you?
